How much suffering can a young child endure?

How much pain can a young child handle?

His life is wrapped in physical and emotional pain.

Lying on his hospital bed, he is wheeled from room to room, from one treatment to another and from one procedure to another. He is barely eight years old and is already forced to cope with a level of pain that would be difficult for an adult to handle.

How is such a young child managing?

The answer is…

Thanks to Achim B’Yachad!

Achim B’Yachad makes it happen every day. His designated big brother will call him every single day and visit often. During particularly difficult times, Achim B’yachad volunteers will visit and bring age appropriate gifts and entertainment, tailored to every child’s needs and desires.

This is what helps them survive their most challenging times.

Achim B’Yachad doesn’t stop with the patients, they take care of the siblings too. Under the direction of a group of dedicated volunteers, they offer the Sunday I-Shine afterschool program, which is chock full of activities, delicious meals, as well as outings which are scheduled periodically throughout the year and so much more.

Achim B’Yachad’s ahavas yisrael doesn’t end there. They arrange Shabbatons several times a year for the parents and families of patients, where they can recharge both their physical and emotional batteries and get much needed support to help them navigate the turbulence in their lives.

Dear Brother!

The sight of our little brothers in pain is heart rending!

As we make the rounds from room to room visiting our young patients, all we want to do, is to sit down and cry. But we do not have the luxury of tears. We have a responsibility to support these children and bring them a measure of happiness.

Aside from the astronomical sum of more than $100,000 per month, our activities also cost an enormous amount of emotional energy.

We therefore plead with you, the distinguished members of Klal Yisroel, to show your appreciation to Achim B’Yachad by contributing generously so we can carry on with our holy mission.

It is only thanks to your generosity that we can keep up the good work.
